Juniper was created in 2005 with a simple concept: Incredible food paired with unbeatable service would provide everyone (customers & employees) with a unique experience. An experience worth driving for, a place you enjoy, somewhere you can forget about all the things you have to deal with and just take a break.

Jeanne & Brandon Velie owners of Juniper are proud to welcome you and your guests to Juniper. Located in downtown Ridge Spring and serving simply elegant flavors with an eclectic style. We serve lunch Monday – Saturday with a delicious selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. We serve dinner Thursday, Friday, & Saturday and our menu changes every week as well as with the seasons. Allowing us to take advantage of the fresh local produce that is so abundant in Ridge Spring.

Jeanne Velie is a Jack of all trades and has a background in sales and customer service.  With MacGyver like skills Jeanne manages the restaurant with a professional style that focuses on every detail creating a comfortable environment enjoyed by customers of all ages.  Jeanne has transformed a building from the late 1890’s with a simple elegance that brings out its beauty and character. This casual atmosphere is the perfect compliment to the fine cuisine that comes out of the kitchen.

Chef Brandon Velie has been cooking for over 20 years.  Brandon’s early beginnings in the US Marine Corps as a cook taught him how to feed the masses.  He has since trained in several aspects of the restaurant industry from short order to fine dining. Chef Brandon’s style is currently referred to as “New South” in which he mixes traditional Southern flavors with a modern twist.  Some of his popular combinations at Juniper are a Pimento Cheese Stuffed Crispy Chicken Breast served with flash fried collards.  The Juniper Crab Cakes are a sure hit right along with Chef Brandon’s homemade Lobster Mac n’ Cheese.

Since opening Juniper Jeanne & Brandon have been featured in multiple National and Local publications and on television and radio numerous times. We have also won several awards for our inventive cuisine and our trendsetting restaurant to include Palmetto Palate Top Chef Award twice, the SC Beef Backer award, gold & silver medals in local and state wide culinary competitions.
