High Cotton is steppin’ Lowcountry living. It’s a feeling of warmth and celebration that begins the moment you step inside. You’ll find it in our gracious, knowledgeable servers, expertly prepared dishes and a remarkable wine and cocktail program.

Stepping into High Cotton is stepping out on the town. Housed in a renovated 19th century warehouse, the space oozes warmth and charm. The lounge glows with rich mahogany and distinctive furnishings. Live jazz (evenings and Sunday brunch) seals the deal: this is going to be a good time. High Cotton’s main dining room is framed by East Bay Street and by the open kitchen. Ostrich skin banquettes and ceiling fans conjure images of Cary Grant and Hemingway. The smaller dining room evokes a mid-century club, inviting all manners of deal-making and reverie.

Saturday and Sunday brunch offers a traditional menu that adds sizzle with original creations like Fried Oyster Florentine ($16) and Lowcountry Huevos Rancheros ($15). Other favorites: Grilled Salmon Salad ($16), Chicken & Waffles ($14), Southern Breakfast Cassoulet ($15), BBQ Lamb Sandwich ($14), and Crab Cakes Benedict ($16).

Dinner at High Cotton is defined by its ‘Chef Specialties,’ which feature favorites such Seared Local Swordfish with boiled peanut & Sea Island pea pirlou, ember roasted okra and citrus emulsion ($29) and Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Rabbit Loin with pimento cheese grits, grilled baby carrots, cherry pistachio pate, and rosemary infused jus ($28). Or, build-your-own center-cut meat ( Thick Cut NY Strip or Center Cut Filet) entrée with sauces like Garlic Dill Butter and Bourbon Bacon Reduction ($32-36).
