The Cottage, Cafe, Bakery and Tea Room

The Cottage Café is located in the historic district of Old Town Bluffton, South Carolina, on Calhoun Street. It exemplifies both old world charm and the warm hospitality of the South. It is the original Carson Cottage and is surrounded by four other, more recently-built structures. These five cottages are now known as The Carson Cottages. In 1868, Confederate solider J.J. Carson built the structure as his residence. In 1902 he formed The First Baptist Church of Bluffton in the front room. In 2007, the property was restored to its fullest potential. Now The Cottage, with charming Calhoun Street as its backdrop, is home to those who dine daily. We hope you enjoy your time in historic Bluffton!
