Ingredients
2 Large Bundles of Collards – remove stems and chop into 2 inch squares
6 slices of Bacon
4 cups of Water
1/3 cup Sugar
1 TBSP Salt
¼ TSP White Pepper
Pepper Vinegar
Directions
– Fry the bacon in a large heavy – bottomed pot over medium heat until just done.
– Add collards, water, salt, pepper and sugar, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 1 ½ hours.
– Add Pepper Vinegar to your taste!
