The Stables Restaurant at Rose Hill
About the Restaurant
Visit Rose Hill to experience the charm of Aiken’s most originally preserved “Winter Colony” estate. This downtown property encompasses a city block, yet the ambience is intimate and timelessly elegant. It is the first property in Aiken listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is where the Garden Club of South Carolina began 75 years ago. The architecture and maturity of the gardens are unique in the region.
The property retains all of its original structures including a turn of the century stable. After nearly three years of extensive renovations to make the one-time outbuilding a warm and inviting place for diners, The Stables Restaurant at Rose Hill opened to rave reviews in the Fall of 2009. Outdoor dining amenities include a patio, pavilion and Biergarten where guests can enjoy special events and overflow during the warmer summer months.
The restaurant features a menu of regional American cuisine, freshly prepared with premium ingredients featuring seafood, steaks, and pasta dishes. A separate grill menu and a German menu is available for casual outdoor dining.
